The Linden perfume fills the air, and is now pleasantly overpowering the nearby Ailanthus. I'm afraid I don't have any links to odor files, but you might try sticking your nose outdoors.







Sweet as honey is the Linden smell. And fine honey its nectar makes. Bee Tree is a Traditional name for Tilia, and indeed the crowns are full of Apians. If you fear the stingers, don't worry, this is a tree you can enjoy from a distance; you don't even have to be looking at it.

Still, we shouldn't be too hard on that persistent Ailanthus. One thing I know about Summer is that, before it's over, we may all smell a bit objectionable.
