The Post had a good article on the re-opening of the Quad, which I remember from school days. I’m sure I went there, though I can’t recall what I saw. It was not a revial house per se; I went to those more often: Cinema Village (still there, I think,) the Elgin (turned into a dance theater,) Bleeker St Cinema (gone,) the Waverly (now the IFC.) They had smoking sections (and not restricted to tobacco.)
