I watched Model Shop, and it was more interesting visually than otherwise. I'd heard of it because I have some of the soundtrack on a compilation of Spirit, an excellent LA band of the era. They had some limited success, but are underrated in my opinion, and best known lately for a lawsuit claiming Led Zeppelin lifted the opening of Stairway to Heaven from one of their lesser known numbers. The band appears briefly in the movie, and Jay Ferguson has a speaking part, playing himself, but according to the TCM article, "not doing a very convincing job."
