Frozen II (had to force Lucas because this is a "girl" movie, but then he liked it.)
Swift
Casablanca (couldn't get through it, I will blame that on Lucas).

Oh shoot, forgot that one: also Spirited Away. He liked it but a little strange for him.
About half of those titles have scary stuff. Ponyo and Kiki are probably the most kid-friendly. Even Totoro has its freaky moments.
My (adult) faves are Castle in the Sky and Nausicaa,
i know jim knows about this site since he showed it to me. i remember mononoke being a little violent but not totoro. i dont know how much or what type of animation he watches but could see they might seem a little off kilter.
Not violent -- just bizarre, according to my inner 4-year-old.
