Thanks peoples. Uh, let's see before I checked back here, this morning I put six on his list, Big Fish, Tripletts of Bellville (actually both of those might have been inspired by Selma's recent mentions somewhere on the tree and/but I've been curious about the both of them), Mystic River, On the Waterfront, Down with Love (my embarrassing indulgence, but it's cute and pretty well written), and American Splendor. I'm not sure any of us are actually recommending School of Rock but I'm actually looking forward to it to cleanse the palate of my pysche after the hanging in the last flick I watched. Ima check out The Celebration, and Jason and the Argonauts I remember but only vaguely so I'll probably queue it up too. (Oh, Netflix is a little behind on The Celebration, they have it as a soon to be released, even though it's a 1998 flick?)

Oh, and here's another girly-man, date movie I kind of liked--How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days. I'm fishing for more upper-case bold.

most HATED (HATED) (POISON) date movies: While You Were Sleeping, Runaway Bride, Sleepless in Seattle. Grudingly sort of liked it: Erin Brockovitch, Riding in Cars with Boys. Actively liked it: Punch Drunk Love, Lost in Translation, The Wedding Singer. Looking forward to seeing it with trepidation and some shame: 50 First Dates.
