One sequence has members of the team watching the 1960 movie Incubus, the made-in-Big Sur all-Esperanto horror movie starring William Shatner and a live billy goat playing Satan. While I'm glad to see this obscurer-than-obscure movie get a little plug, here's a criminal example of the law that you should never cut to a movie that's better than the one you've made. watching a 1/2 hour show on ifc about the 20th anniversary of spinal tap. they just mentioned that all non percussive members of the band were playing bass for the song "Big Bottom". this struck me as particularly funny. also, the original cut was 6 1/2 hours long.
practically giving it away.
solipsism is on the menu at jon favreaus ifc show Dinner for Five but i cant help but stop in for a nibble from time to time.
g4techtv is a station i get with directv. looks to be gamers and gadgets oriented. im just now watching cinematech which looks to be a collection of short form "video game" movies. i guess they could be classified as demos but im not sure if they werent created specifically for this format. obviously they are commercials for new games but the line between animated features and games becomes ever more hazy as a result.
