Buoy has signed an online distribution deal with Vyerfilms a curated subscription service which showcases independent films from around the world.

Filmmakers get 70% of the revenue, currently the highest share of all VOD services, so this is a real financial oppurtunity... that is, assuming people don't take advantage of the watch for free option. Oh well, just glad it's getting out there a little.

just rewatched the way we were i think for only the second time. some interesting insights into production midway down the page. the plot falls apart about halfway through the movie and im perpetually underwhelmed by redford but streisand is quite good.

There’s the funny little “heh-heh” laugh that recurs in all of his films and never seems to express genuine mirth. There’s the too-wide smile that crinkles his eyes, and then slowly falls into a tight-lipped smirk. There’s the way his sandpaper purr cracks whenever he increases the volume too quickly, evoking a levee holding back a tidal wave of emotion that’s about to give way.
