"Last Sunday, on the occasion of the impending release of her new film, Lost in Translation, I joined a couple of other journalists in a group interview with Sofia Coppola. The interview took place in New York City at the end of her press junket. There were commodious suites, exhausted publicists on copious sofas, and complimentary sandwiches. "Big brother" Roman presided benignly hung out near the buffet."

Went to see the "Magdalene Sisters" feeling disgruntled and wearied by the fact that all we ever see of Ireland is old and dreadful. This fulfilled all of those expectations but is worth the visit. Beautifully made and excruciatingly well acted, and besides, all those burgeoning girls - in spite of their plight - remind us of life. Have a look for yourself.

a freind is moving from jc to west nj and was thinking about opening an "arthouse" film theater. he was looking for indie distribution resources. I found this near the top of a google search. im fishing for clues here. if anyone has ideas on the subject pls adv. thx
