think i got a taker. amazing how easy giving away $1000 worth of exercise equipment could be. last chance for the "friends" price. for you, $100.

guess i should have tried to sell it. three inquiries today. didnt seem worth the trouble for a couple hundred bucks at most. id just squander it anyway. and it was free to me. any other pat rationalizations im forgetting? the larger question of course being, do i really need that extra closet space or am i purging for no good reason? (i would say it was out of pique but ive been trying to rid myself of it for years.) seems like a waste languishing in a closet though. dont know how someone so wasteful as myself could be imbued with such a utilitarian sensibility. that must qualify as another rationalization.

coincidentally, i chose to listen to Erasure for the first time in nearly 20 years as i prattle on. that must mean something.

ill stop now.

1. If you had charged for it no one would have responded?
2. You could have given the money to charity but you're not the charitable type?
3. You might have helped the buyers move it and the irony of throwing your back out while moving a piece of exercise equipment would have been too much for you?
4. Commerce is not your bag?
5. If you had sold it you would have been reminded of its value and regretted not having it around, taking up space in your closet.
6. Sellers remorse, who needs it?

well, i got another three inquiries last night but i finally found someone i know to take it. so im happy about that.

and all your rationalizations could easily apply to my previous posts as well except the irony in #3 would be that i threw my back out by not moving.

shit. if i moved at the end of 2002 then that thing wasted space for nearly five years. fucking pathetic.

i believe that is called an idiom, mr press release. not to be confused with idiot.
