| sorry. missed the thread. i actually watched the spelling bee over the basketball. i did hate how he kept calling him "the machine." less clever than listening to a football color commentator although admittedly they have more practice and more points of reference. though i did want to smack the other kid for saying hi every time he got up. mix it up once or twice, at least. he must now 100 words for hello! it was fascinating that he choked when he could have finished him off twice. i doubt he threw it just based on his victory dance at the end. completely ignored the older kid at first when he reached out to congratulate him.
