208 students and staff tested positive. If my math skills are functioning, that's .018 percent of just the 1.1 million NYC public school kids. I couldn't find a number for "staff" but it's got to be huge driving that percentage even lower. I'm worried having Lucas in school, but it's easy as a parent to lose sight of reality. That's a pretty small percentage. And that's just for a positive test; most of those (maybe high 90% range? 99%?) are asymptomatic. I'm simultaneously scared for my own son while realizing that this whole pandemic fear thing is kind of out of control.
