the Goulet joke
kind of cool that the studio that produced a sarah silverman pilot let her put it up on youtube. i can see why nbc would be hesitant to run with this but it had its moments of inspiration. maybe casting all her friends on her shows has its limits like her acting range. but by the end i would still have liked to see a little more. as it is she recently signed on to do a comedy on hbo with topher grace which isnt her project so will be interesting to see how well she performs outside her own insular vision.
damn, another version of the bridge. the american one was adapted from a danish show. this is an english adaptation set on the "border" between britain and france. have no idea if its any good. just ran across it by happenstance. first episode aired tonight i think.

after watching the first three episodes gonna give my seal of approval to showtime's Masters of Sex mostly because i like the cast theyve assembled including michael sheen, lizzy caplan and beau bridges. curious to see if they can keep the sex interesting, so to speak.
did not realize fox had leapt into the breach that is the fall tv season. cant recall one show that i heard about that i am eager to see on the major networks although i was curious about andy sambergs new sitcom brooklyn nine-nine. the reviews seem positive so i will check it out although i think i missed the premiere tonight.
seinfeld is reteaming with buddy keith hernandez in the booth tonight giving me the first reason to tune in for a couple of minutes to a mets game since 2007. if only hed show up for the jets games id have something to look forward to during those games for a few minutes.
stupid greedy fuckers. amc is splitting the final season of mad men into two seven episode seasons, seven in 2014 and seven in 2015 because its been a ratings boon for breaking bad to end that way. but breaking bad had two eight episode seasons. for the math challenged among us, thats two more episodes. and they are making viewers wait an entire year. i could see a spring/fall split. but an entire year is just dragging it out.
