The M & M is probably the heart of the city.
I remember going about 10 years ago, and
it hasn't changed a bit since.

Great for drinks at night (or, apparently, anytime
during the day) as well as breakfast in the morning.

We had some drinks here the first night and
wound up talking to a very nice bartender for
most of the night. We asked when they stopped
serving and he said "never." Then after a pause he
said: "In fact, I can't remember this place ever closing."

On further examination it seems that the police did
raid the M & M many years ago on a gambling violation
and when they asked for the keys to lock the place
they discovered that there wasn't any way to close
the front door. They made a sort of unimpressive chain
out of handcuffs across the opening, but on seeing how
silly that was they just opened the place back up again.
And it hasn't closed since.

Mandatory first stop after check in at the Finlen.
