iceman cometh

had to go out on the roof and break up the three inch thick ice because the pooling of water was leaking into the second floor storage beneath me. i was feeling very stone age as i took a hunk of slate that was lying around and hacked at the ice for 1/2 an hour. landlord the younger later joined me with shovels and an icebreaker. he was disgusted by the neighbors dogshit in the snow and once he realized whose it was he started heaving it in shovels full of snow back onto their roof. i didnt ask him to but i didnt tell him to stop either. he doesnt like them so he was happy to oblige. hey. its his building so i say heave away. in other news, the snow is still in excellent snowball making condition but my fastball has lost a little zing.
