LDS Calling

The other day I had some visitors call at my house. A pair of Mormon missionaries knocked on my door one pleasant afternoon, and wanted to chat.
Two young women they were. One was tall, blonde, self-assured. The brunette was a bit meek, but was cute. The blonde gently parried my polite refusals with follow-up questions and comments. She exuded a confidence beyond her years, as she deftly extended the contact.
After I politely sent them on their way, I thought to myself, "Hey, maybe that was a free starter kit." Young enough to be trainable, but old enough to be legal. And it's clear who would be the #1 wife, so no worries about dissent in the house.
Hmmmm. Perhaps I had been a bit hasty.
