thaks justin. im not too big a fan of the redondo beach house as far as the containers go. their appeal to me is the economy and integrity of the found object, not their potential to be modified hidden structural elements. i do like the venice house. at their best they evoke rodolf schindler's space frames. not sure if you caught the schindler piece in the nyt design magazine a while back.

Oh, believe me, I'm not a fan of the Redondo, either. I was just pointing out the the Prefab angle, is all. I would rather see containers altered very little, to keep their visual and structural integrity as intact as possible.
I DID see that article, and now that you mention it, I can see the parallels between the two. I like the Venice project as well. Simplicity rules, yo.
