C3
LOVE this car. A good friend of mine has owned a '73 convertible for more than 25 years, w/original orange paint, and I think the damn thing still has no more than 10,000 miles on it. My heart pounds whenever I see it.
Oh, make that a '72...., not a '73.
72 was the last year for the front chrome bumper. 73s sported plastic in the front and chrome rear bumbers and the next year it was all rubber bumpers.
im drawn to the all chrome years 68-72 with the kick tail rear end. 68 the first c3 year is roundly dismissed for sloppy assembly work at the factory. but im drawn to the 327 engine w/ 350 hp. you know its so much greener than the 350s and big blocks. (ha!)
The front chrome bumper was what made me remember that my friend's car is a '72.... he took me for a ride in it. Once. Wouldn't let me drive it, of course....
