in 1967 at age 12 in an after-school oil painting class, i reworked this image onto a small painted canvas board titled "pop art". i switched out the fishing pole for a surfboard, achieving a surfer bird (the trash men's surfin' bird was released in 1964 and reached #4 in the charts) and promptly lost the original poster. this is the first ive been able to relocate the varig travel poster. thanks google images! its not the first time i looked for it but the first time i found it. so regardless of the less desirable format changes, the inventory is improving.
