I'm not familiar with the other designs, but the Antony Chair seems a little more than "inspired by". Unless they mean "exactly like" by "inspired by". What's the legality here? I'm not against it necessarily, but how can they do this? I guess they are just slightly different enough? Or maybe it's okay to make replicas? I don't know anything about the law obviously.... Nice stuff and the prices are great.

It's about what you can get away with. My position is that patents aren't forever. This is a most interesting recent case where infact the copier restoration hardware backs down on making exact copies of the navy chair by emeco. I'd Ike to see the market sort it out and hopefully the consumers wins where value is concerned.
