If this is an example of the finest architecture of the 21st century... WE. ARE. IN. TROUBLE!

This building was a mistake from the start. The folk museum tore down a great carriage house to build this single purpose building, that is a place to display crafty crafts. The cost of the new structure forced the museum into so much debt they had to move to a larger rental space nearby. They intentionally chose to contrast themselves stylistically to moma on the block. Now everyone wants moma to incorporate the building into their longterm appearance. It doesnt flow and there are no windows! It looks like ass!

The Stork Club was torn down and replaced with Paley Park. Nice place to eat lunch on a sunny day. The Bertoia chairs are comfy, too. Maybe the MoMA could do something like that.... since they can't get anything else right.

The city needs more spaces like that. The High Line is a perfect example.
