| took the weekend off from soccer so i could focus on the knicks collapsing in round one of the nba playoffs but now im back for the game of the week, this afternoon's matchup between manchester city and manchester united. man city is essentially one game behind man u for the lead in the premier league with three matches to go. so anything short of a win will all but clinch for united. bumped up to espn proper at 3pm est.
pretty good recap for a very casual fan especially as it reinforces my selection for man of the match versus the one a certain blowhard championed. said blowhard also finds the name "vincent kompany" mellifluous which should call any pronouncements said blowhard makes into question. now if the player in question was named "said blowhard" i might be inclined to agree though he would probably look something like this guy, someone i could never root for in good conscience. although were "vincent kompany" the heavy in some guy ritchie gangster flick, i might be inclined to revisit my initial criticism of said blowhard. oh, and in the likely event that you dont click through, manchester city won on a brilliant header from.... who was that again? oh yeah, vincent kompany.
the game was the most watched epl game in us cable history just clearing 1 million viewers.
