djokovic/federer semifinals at the french open just underway on nbc. nadal blew through ferrer for a spot in the sunday final while maria sharapova regained the number one ranking after four years of struggle and injury. she is the favorite going into tomorrows final against the 21st seeded italian sara errani.
djokovic swept the match after federer dropped the second set despite being up a break with a chance to serve out the set. so its djokovic/nadal on sunday of the title.
fourth straight nadal v. djokovic final. djokovic has won the last three. would be the first player since rod laver to hold all grand slam titles at the same time though not officially a grand slam as they are not within the same calendar year. would be nadals seventh (straight?) french open championship.
