don zimmer was chagrined. he did not want to live in a world without ecstasy. by the time someone explained to him that only the creator of ecstasy ceased to exist so had he. but ultimately don zimmer was confused. he thought they were talking about chaw which was the only thing that truly made him happy.

Lotsa good memories while he was with the NYY. What was that bar we watched games at Alex? Toad Hall. I lost interest in baseball after the players and coaches from that time left or were traded.

Yes, Toad Hall. Bill and I used to go there after work, the predecessor of YAT. The team was getting good again, burned by the strike in '94, then made the playoffs in '95 when we went to the games in the Bronx. Thrilling game winning homer for Don Mattlingly in his last stadium game, then they lost 3 straight in Seattle, ugh. Won it all the next year, after he retired.
