gauff reaches first final. will face iga swiatek the reigning french open champion and currently one shy of a 34 match win streak which is equal to one by venus williams, the longest since 2000.

back for nadal in..... the semis? taking a really long time. the first set against 3rd seeded zverev was 1 1/2 hours. nadal pulls it out after being down 6-2 in the tiebreaker. 

looked like it could have gone a legitimate six hours but zverev just severely sprained his ankle. no way he can come back and be effective. be very surprised if he came back out.

nadal will be going for his 14th french open championship on sunday and will be much fresher than he otherwise would have been. second semi is this afternoon.

was a moment in the second set that his opponent seemed like hed make a match of it but this was the easiest match hes had of the four i watched. 6-3 6-3 6-0. 14th french open win, 22 grand slam title.

gauff was overmatched as well yesterday by swiatek who won her second french open and second overall at age 21. gauff is only 18.
