been vaguely eying the wimbledon brackets for the last few days but havent tuned in until today. nadal down 2 sets to 1 to american! taylor fritz currently seeded #11. never heard of him but its not i follow the sport closely. says he is 24. im not listening to the announcers so i dont know if nadal is nursing an injury but seems like something is bothering him a little. nadal has won the first two slams this year. djokovic still lurking among others. this is a quarter final match.

womens draw seems in tatters but simona halep who won wimbledon in 2019 has made her way to the semis. not sure i recognize the others.

blew another break. headed into set five tiebreaker. if im not mistaken it is now first to 10 pts for a 5th set tiebreaker instead of the traditional 7.

im sure you already knew but.... kyrgios is the current bad boy of tennis who has never lived up to his potential now playing in his first slam final at 27 though it feels like he has been around for longer.

Rafael Nadal, the 22-time Grand Slam champion, pulled out of a Wimbledon semifinal match against Nick Kyrgios that was set for Friday. Nadal tore a muscle in his abdomen earlier in the tournament.

mens final coverage starts at 9 am on espn. kind of fascinated just based on the personalities. has djokovic finally been paired with someone that tennis fans find more loathsome? djokovic never seemed hated so much as fans preferred federer and nadal and probably a few underdogs and djokovic seems to have internalize that. also he is the most petulant of the three but kyrgios is another level of ill tempered without the 20 slams to his name. yet the passionate challenger can often win the crowd if he is bold enough. tune in to see who implodes first!

kyrgios won the first set. huge serve, very athletic.

meanwhile hit one serve underhand, switch hands for one shot and hit between his legs on another. lost all three points.

wow. what a fucking headcase. constantly yelling at his box between points that they arent giving him enough support. clearly using it as a release valve but c'mon. one set all.
