Japan new wave

Last month I was asked by a friend to produce a wave design for a tattoo. Some of my designs, including the one she settled on, are similar to some of these, but of course, not as good.

Bill you posted something else (like this?) many years ago and it made me hit ebay I bought some old Japanese books inc these three, sadly w/o the circles on the covers.....

something to do with 'the wave' artist cause I bought a book by him on Buddhism too......fyi linda sent me to a library website, and the original book might be 1899 and was printed till 1905

Well that’s splendid. Something really has to happen to make a wooden block move like that. And there’s the Portuguese sky/sea pattern in there (almost).
