I'm sure everyone has seen this, but just for my own memory, here's a transcript of the Hayden interview where he demonstrates his complete misunderstanding of the 4th amendment. But at least he sounds like a smug prick, so he's got that going for him.
This guy is scary.
gonzales said virtually the same thing at those televised hearings not long ago. this was the company line -- play up the reasonableness and stonewall on probable cause. as with those 750 laws bush has supposedly claim are not applicable to his administration, they are perfectly willing to support a law they have no intention of heeding.
Agreed. Still, presumably Gonzales at least knows the text to the 4th amendment even if he chooses to subvert it. Not sure which is better/worse though.

This is bad, but it's gonna go through. On the Senate Intelligence Committee, I could see Feingold voting against El Generalisimo.
