im not following this latest attempt to embarass hillary for taking a slight jab at her hubby. but theres a great clip of her whining to the press which was just on the daily show. basically she said first they (the press) want her to lighten up and then they want to psychoanalyze her offhand remark. she actually came off as very human in her demeanor. it was sort of like ive tried everything to be what you want to be and its never enough for you sort of remark. almost made me like her.

I didn't see it. Good to hear she can get through.

Prospect has a bunch of analysis of the original "slight jab".

She has her work cut out for her, but I guess so would any other candidate. Still, it's just so easy for them when it comes to her. She'll have to be really good.

part of it is that she comes off as so scripted its hard not to analyze the unscripted moments. and frankly, it plays into her victimization routine that isnt very appealing. but just because shes paranoid doesnt mean theyre not after her, or so the song goes.

that was the first sign of human life inside her political animal robot in a long time. bravo for the glimmer of hope. too bad she cant see the joke through without denying it afterwards ( "i meant osama"). not that the joke was a macaca moment but the denial, a macaca like denial.

There's just no getting around the serious considering of a candidate's campaign act, every nuance, every calling of her husband (wasn't he president of the US for eight years?) an evil bad man, heh heh, just kidding. I don't really want her to be that affable. Or funny. Or light. I want a serious kick ass all business, show me some intelligence type of president this time around. I've always given her serious consideration but If she's going to attempt humor I think she should stay to a script and/or get a better writer. I think she has a cute smile though...

speaking of pop psychologizing...

Speaking of it? I can't even say it.

The more convincing explanation is that Bush believes he is playing for history now—hence his obsessive focus on the single issue that he believes, rightly, will define his legacy. Where we see a failed president in Bush, he looks in the mirror and sees himself as a leader who pursued a burdensome, painful path and whose vindication will be meted out long after he has left office. As a righteous man who forged ahead in the face of weak-willed and wrongheaded opposition, in particular the impulse toward appeasement

unfortunately, with his chips down, the best chance to save his legacy is going double or nothing attacking iran. we are all holding our breath. in juan williams interview w/ w, bush said of using the term democrat (instead of democratic) in the SOTU speah. "i didnt even know i said it." another lie from a culture of lying. fuuuUUuuuUUUuuuUUUUUk You!
