Collusion
Carlo Bonini with Craig Unger

Description: Carlo Bonini, an investigative reporter for Italy's La Repubblica, talks about the forged documents used to by the Bush administration to argue that Iraq was trying to buy uranium from Niger. Mr. Bonini and his colleague, Giuseppe D'Avanzo, broke the story in La Repubblica. They later broke the story of the CIA's kidnapping of an Egyptian cleric in Milan (which led to the CIA agents being ordered to stand trial by an Italian judge) and more recently reported that Bush administration officials have been meeting with Iranian government officials in Rome. Mr. Bonini talks with journalist Craig Unger about these and other stories at this event hosted by the Overseas Press Club.
