nice to see gwen ifill step up this morning and act like a human being instead of a smarmy insider talking head. obviously this was a personal issue for her but i gained a modicum of respect for her. pat buchanan on the other hand was completely odious on mclaughlin. he almost made tony blankley, who was mostly blank, seem thoughful. they both continuously referred to imus's firing as a lynching ultimately because they know who will be on the firing line next. as for the rest of the bobbleheads this morning, general zinni was acting like an adult willing to speak unpleasant truths to all americans on meet the tim while the dark lord stonewalled and obfuscated on face the nation. quite a stark contrast.
zini had no plan "b" either. another 5-7 years with increased border protection, etc. im with him on this im afraid.
gwen kicked in earlier this wk w/ a very good nyt op-ed piece and made good with the follow through. and yes she did have a dog in the fight.

"Gordon, a state officer with the Sons of Confederate Veterans, said Spurrier’s call for the removal of the (confederate) flag (from statehouse grounds) was “the moral equivalent of calling our ancestors ‘nappy-headed hos.’"
