jon stewart kicked it up a notch tonight with john mccain. sure to be heralded in 3...2...1...
Jon did good. It's a sad state of affairs when a comedy show does a better job grilling pols than the "news" shows.
if you missed it atrios has it posted. mccain constantly yammering when stewart was making a point was puerile. but what can you expect from a tool.
I liked the way Stewart deflated crap like "I'm very proud of our troops." It's not about the troops, dipshit. It's about the policy.
McCain is also falling back on "I've criticized the execution from the beginning." Yes, the execution was fubar, but it's an illegal war and a strategic nightmare, no matter how well or poorly it was executed.
