i havent looked for any numbers but on tv last night they said obama go 90% of the hispanic vote in nevada and colorado and also that people of puerto rican descent in florida came out strong and for obama. heres hoping the dems start cultivating some national leaders from those communities along with focusing on issues important to them before the republican find their way out of the box theyve put themselves in regarding latino voters. one issue they might start with is statehood for puerto rico as a strong majority in puerto rico now support that effort . as a side benefit, its sure to drive the wingnuts crazy which would only further alienate the latino voters from the republican party.

numbers. jewish support for dems dips below 70% while asians support for dems goes from 62 to 73%. i wonder if these numbers correspond with harvard acceptance rates?

According to Segura, the Latino vote provided Obama with 5.4 percent of his margin over Romney, well more than his overall lead in the popular vote. Had Romney managed even 35 percent of the Latino vote, he said, the results may have flipped nationally.
The effect was at least as dramatic in swing states, most notably in Colorado, which Obama won on Tuesday. There Latinos went for the president by an astounding 87-10 margin, an edge not far from the near-monolithic support he received from African American voters. In Ohio, with a smaller but still significant Latino population, Obama won by an 82-17 margin."
