I spent election night 2016 at 135. Andrew was saying if Trump were to win it would absolutely split the democratic party.  I didn't agree and thought if anything it would split the republicans. But I kept my mouth shut because I lose pretty much any argument with Andrew.

one would have thought that the center right and the wingnut right would have perhaps clashed which it did and the center right was mostly purged. now apparently this is a clash between the wingnuts and the super wingnuts. that is my trenchant analysis.

its fair to imagine the dems would have had trouble. there was a lot of animus leveled at the bernie faction when hillary lost. as it turned out though trump quickly united the left with his immigration policies. and that womens march on washington with all the pink hats was a week after the inauguration.

You're right, I imagined the center-right would hold and the split would be between them and the crazies. But more importantly, despite stumbling into being right, I was, so I win.

well certainly more right than me teasing out winslow homer from his signature but i promise you if you had the same convo today with andrew he would find a way to explain how he was right all along or else he would bluster long enough so that you would relent. not a dis so much as an appreciation of his debating skills. but really a dis.

I wouldn't dis Andrew either, respect. Enough that I'm stoked to be right no matter how I got there.
