id like some movie with my advertisements, please. at one point there was 5 minutes of movie followed by 3 minutes of ads. not what id call viewer-friendly. assuming its the same version, the runtime according to imdb is 1hr 43mn, which leaves 77mn of ads over 3 hours. thats about 25mn per hour. i realize the movie is fairly recent and maybe they had to pay more as a result but that seems ridiculous if true.

I was wondering about that.

Might as well trot out this quote now from an anonymous non-theatre goer (not Bill but he knows who it is):

"I don't need to see movies in theatres because I put my face really close to my laptop and play the speakers next to my ears really loud. It's exactly the same thing." (or words to that effect)

To which should be added "after I digitally record the whole thing and take out the ads so the pauses and plugs don't utterly destroy the film."

im such a tv head i didnt notice the commercials. back when tv was free i figured it wasnt a bad deal. fair trade out. but for some reason, i cant listen to commercial radio. prob because im used to listener sponsored radio. only a problem on road trips. our friend is a "moron" and savant. just more trade out.
