watched almost all of altered states this week
just watched some kelly reichardt movie. already forgot the name. scrolled to the end to see the music credits and what should catch my eye?

watched the holdovers, ok I guess. Holiday film set at Ct. (I think) boys school.
mentioned it earlier. i liked it. lots of oscar buzz for the actors. seems like the cafeteria woman might win for supporting. think its massachusetts. filmed at a bunch of prep schools tho i think st marks where jim and bree went figures prominently.
Immediately I started fishing for clues to location. When the kid threw out his shoulder he fabricated an excuse at the hospital that it was an accident at Squants pond. I know that area to be in Ct. near the NY border. They seemed to keep it fuzzy without town names for the townies. His dad was institutionalized in Boston Mas. and that’s where they day tripped to. I assumed the school name was fiction. Cool about Jim and B connection.
Barbie was pretty bad.

seems like a potent enough commentary.
just curious theres all of these corporate acknowledgements. whose job is it to contact, say hydroflask and say we have a three second scene where michelle williams is drinking out of a water bottle, want to hook us up with a few free (i assume) bottles, or she has a jogging scene, how about some gear adidas?

its fictional and they only refer to it as a new england prep school but it was all shot in massachusetts.

Gotcha, shot in Mas. The 5 story wood houses where the poor live is classic Mas.
I was listening for details in the script as well as visuals. The writer went to boarding school in Hartford per this.
