the first saturday night live reruns tonight. george carlin hosted.
kind of interesting to see snl in its infancy. carlin didnt act, he did three standup segments including the famous baseball v football routine. andy kaufman also did his memorable miming of the mighty mouse themesong. and another comedienne did a short bit but i cant recall her name. noone im familiar with. the skits were few and far between. belushis bees were there which must mark them as the first recurring character. and chevy chase did the news without the tics which would later become pronounced. also they had billy preston and janis ian on. preston did two numbers to ians one. oh yeah, jim henson and some muppet friends stopped by. might have been the most enjoyable stuff.
