When should I be watching tennis Dave?

well, they usually have the stars playing night matches especially early on so if you are looking for something to watch or just to get some match game experience under your belt, those start at 7pm, or at least, thats when they are scheduled to start on espn2. tonight its federer then serena. the matches probably start to get interesting in the fourth round sunday for the men and saturday for the women. although maybe the women arent as deep so its monday for the start of the quarterfinals.

id just look at the schedule of play each day and see if something looks intriguing but for that you may need some backstory like the return of kim clijsters after a two year break, or just turn it on late afternoon to hear what they are crowing about.

"...the matches probably start to get interesting in the fourth round..."

Yup, not too interesting last night. The Federer match had a moment, but otherwise pretty dull stuff. Thanks.

was wrong on the timing. men have friday off so fourth round starts monday, i think, which means sunday must be round four for women.

entertaining match tonight btwn monfils and nadal. monfils just took the first set in a tiebreaker....

not really into the mens' this year, watching the slow torturous finale of oudin right now. i'd love to see wozniachi take williams, but i'm still rooting for clijsters.

the women have had the more compelling stories and the matches are quicker but the mens game is still higher quality and is hard to beat when the two players are on top of their games. i have yet to tire of the nadal-federer finals drama.

too bad about oudin. she beat herself tonight which is not to say the other girl didnt play well. hopefully she can become an american justine henin, undersized but relentless.

guess id like to see someone give serena a tough match but i wouldnt mind seeing her win another 5 or 6 majors to get up into the top echelon of alltime women players though shes probably already there with 11.

if serena loses but noone can see it did see actually lose? cbs had enough of the rain so opted not to preempt their saturday night repeats to air the womens semifinals. take that, stupid tennis fans.

well i fell asleep anyway. too bad for her i hate to see a match end that way.

just watched the match. considering how infrequently foot faults are called, that it wasnt egregious and that it gave clijsters a match point, it was pretty unfortunate.

they said this guy couldnt go five sets! still feels like federer blew it but give del potro credit he has a wicked forehand and dictated play on a lot of points.
