pretty good reviews overall for netflix latest drama bloodlines (out now) but a mixed bag from those critics i generally appreciate. its a dysfunctional family drama from the creators of damages set in the florida keys with an evolving murder scenario over the course of the season. stars the dad from friday night lights, kyle chandler, sissy spacek, linda cardellini a lot of actors ive never heard of, a few appearances from chloe sevigny and one from sam shepard.
Just tried out the first big time in hollwyood fla. But they just killed off Ben stiller so where is the hope now? Oops. Spoiler alert.
i was gonna suggest we live in alternative universes but now that ive looked it up i do recall seeing a promo or two on comedy central. im pretty sure stiller is executive producer on the show so i assume he is in the pilot to get some eyeballs on it. i heard the stars/creators on comedy bang bang once. they had a popular web series. ill have to give it the once over twice.
Binge watched (over a couple of weeks) blood line and the affair. for bloodline I liked the Florida location and built in lawlessness associated with keys "conch" culture. similarly, montauk had that "generations of smugglers " family and locals/townie theme. Must be a costal thing.
