My guilty pleasure in tv watching is Brit mysteries but it also crosses over to American cop/investigator shows. I noticed this pattern recently of single father, daughter dramas. The first was Bosch (with the cool LA house he bought with screenwriter money) , then came Wild Bill (nutty rob lowe casting)
i feel like i made this point about daddy/daughter brit detective shows but maybe not. a lot of widowed detectives just trying to raise their teenage daughter in some idyllic small town with a seamy underside. i tried bosch. couldnt get into it.
The Bosh guy is tweaky but the story line keeps it moving. Wild Bill has great casting.
