worth a watch though you will wonder if youll want to endure the mild discomfort it continually has on display. kind of like a vacation that does not quite live up to expectations but then when its over you will still feel nostalgic for the few bright moments rather than the unrelenting gray.

i watched Hacks straight through. Big finish. I liked it.
recommended that a ways back. already cant quite remember how it ended. got a lot of emmy love for whatever thats worth along with ted lasso.
all i have left in my "queue" is season 2 of the great. maybe pen 15. and i keep avoiding what we do in the shadows. i guess reservation dogs. started didnt click in episode 1.
I had seen ep. 1 but didn’t follow up till yesterday.
We loved it FWIW
Erin and I liked white lotus quite a bit but the white kid and the canoe was corn ball.
im just glad the avatar of the most oppressed member of society, white teen boys, cast off the bonds of "civiliation" holding his truer self chained to an empty existence and got to live out his dream in harmony with the authentic islanders and gaia. y'all are just cynical.
Decided to give it a shot.
found out today after a six week trial run my parents decided to sell their house and move into a retirement community in la jolla, ca. house could be sold before they even come back to see it again in march. i heard echoes of this show when i was told they went for the tier two plan (of three, the deluxe was out of range) at somewhat considerable more cost because it had a view of the ocean "and that makes a big difference." they have not been in the ocean yet but they enjoy seeing the seals.
That’s a lot to digest.

thought it was odd that it was billed as season one since it seem to say what it want to say but a season two has been green lit but different white lotus property and different cast and one can assume a different focus. dont think we need a rehash of the many shades of white privilege.

no but i can see it.
moved on to more rote program tonight, a british crime drama set on a sub. lots of familiar faces if you watch british tv. the same people pop up all the time on these 6 ep programs. nothing to write home about but seems slightly better than average for this type of show.

think i said before that the showrunner was up for more but there were no plans at the moment. its getting good buzz so that bodes well for at least the prospect they could revisit it.
the showrunner for yellowjackets told the network he had five seasons in mind but that was before starting. definitely wants the story to dictate length rather than showtime which likes to flog successful show for all they are worth. seems like they have a hit on their hands. just beginning to write season 2.
