these days, being political means loosing 1/2 of the market out of the gate. i cant see him being smart without being political too. i liked him on the C report but never watched. i started watching letterman in the daytime show and gradually lost enough interest to quit watching (greatly reduce) before the move to CBS. after the guy under the steps it was all over. used to always, always watch carson, but that was on rabbit ears.
