on a recent match game rerun fom the 70s, the host, gene rayburn, mocked carter for pronouncing "nuclear" as bush does, as in "nuc-u-lear." my memory of it, filtered through dan ackroyd, was "nuc-u-lah." bush must be channeling carter, first a mess in the mideast, then a gas crisis. carter farmed peanuts, bush farms brush.
