i sort of felt that way at first but it grew on me by the end. was just nice to reconnect with that world. the central tension in the show had always been the facade that don draper had built up to paper over his past and how that impacted his life. now that much of that tension has been resolved at least for the moment, the show looks like its setting up other conflicts particularly between the younger more ambitious pete and peggy versus roger and don. and the question always hangs over it, will don ultimately self sabotage his relationship as he has done in the past?
