And we're off. Everyone is in good spirits. Janet is already in DC. We talked to her on the phone and she said the march doesn't start until 1:30. We had thought 11:00, so we still could make it at a reasonable time. Our drivers are really cool and promised to drive fast. They were dancing with us too.
Prince is cranking. And we're flying south on the NJ turnpike gettin' funky.
Ready to rock
Finally inside DC. Janet says the march still hasn't started.
Traffic is heavy now.
We're here. Completely impossible to tell how many people are here or what is going on.Super nice weather.
Andrew briefly took over the crowd with some inventive chants.
We're back in the bus now. 18th and H.
Fun day. Our group got separated from the other groups, so we missed out on all the choreographed dance numbers. But it was fun walking through the city. Lots of people.
It's hard keeping track of such a large group. On the other hand it doesn't really matter. We all seemed to make it back.
Heading to the afterparty now. Turns out to be only a few blocks away. Dinner there, and we should be on the road around 9:00.
