Tomorrow will be a bit of a loss, so I'm trying to make progress today. I'm talking about that work over here to keep this page clear for the constant stream of witty and amusing anecdotes that have made this weblog so popular with ones of readers. I owe it all to my fans! Thank you, thank you, thank you. And, oh yeah, thank you. That should cover it.

Different left hand pictures upon refresh, nice. "Ones of readers," funny.

Yeah, anyone can do the random picture thing. Just use /randpic/ instead of /getpic/ and then just list all the picture numbers. So /randpic/1/2/3/10/20/ would show one random picture out of the set 1,2,3,10,20.

Cool, I was experimenting with a picture on the left but finally realized I need to get out and take more pictures. Perhaps later.

I can't get randpic to work. On my editpage in the box for left hand picture ID I have put just the ID numbers with slashes and also have tried the whole http dmt.com address, with getpic and randpic suffixes and slashed numbers, and also tried typing just randpic/00/01/02 etc. in the box. I can get one picture at a time up though.

Yeah, you can't do randpic in the box for left hand picture ID. Forgot to mention that. Instead, just leave that box blank and put the randpic code as the first line of 'left side text'

If there is no picture id for top left graphic then the left side text will float up to the top. So just put:

<img src="randpic/xxx/yyy/zzz" border="0">

in the left side text.

Thanks, I got it to work (but still had the x/picture gif above the changing photos), and one of my IDs brought up one of Alex's long buttercup photos, which is nice (although very different from my photo), especially the way it runs vertically a good way down the page, but in the end I am deciding to go with the one pic for awhile, which is a Dumaine second line for Mama D's funeral in '99.
