Easter Sunday sermon.

I slept through the egg hunt on the first floor, although we did write a few of the traditional (around here anyway) rhyming clues last night over sushi. Hopefully it went well.

And hopefully this really is the start of spring because people are in some need. Ran into L last night in the bodega and he was typical of most people I know in the city. Smiling and trying to be happy, but admitting that this has been the worst winter ever. And I'm not talking about the weather. We can take it, sure, and even worse, it's just that we would rather not. Strong only goes so far.

Early Sunday dinner tonight with the extended NYC family plus some parts of my family who have never interacted. Should be interesting.

Would that be your father ?

Yup.

I just asked Ren: "What is it about Dads? " His answer: "Dads are half boring & half nothing." We are going to the store to buy more egg dye & then out to Cherry Creek to check on the rattlesnake den. I guess the thing is you never know which half is which. Mom, of course, is at work. I ask : "What about Moms?" His answer: "Love! "

How 'bout this thread ? Anything interesting to report on the interactive Dad ? Does he share your dry humor ?

We all had a good time I think. 5:00 dinner, so the drinking started early. So there might have been shared humor, but I doubt it was very dry.

My step sister ended up staying as we returned to the Rivington mother ship, and then even after when we decided, without much prudence, to hit Barramundi. Erica really should be stopped. I'm quite sure it was all her fault.

My Dad is about to buy a place in the city. Not sure if this means I will see him more (they've been renting here for a bit, and I haven't seen too much of him) but I like the idea that he will have a stake here. They sure seem to like the restaurants.
