Have never heard of "the" before a numbered highway. A nod to a personal fave named highway, the Major Deegan.
Queries about the mice--how do they get in plastic boulder that snaps shut? If they chew their way in, don't the holes make it un-kid-proof? Is it Tom Cat? That has worked pretty well in my building (boulderless--I'm lucky not to have seen corpses lately).
