Jim, is it going to bum you if I say keep the suggestions coming? I know it's not the purpose of your blog but all the suggestions sure are nice. Has anyone heard of www.bigapplegreeter.org? We read about it in a French guidebook and were thinking of being "greeted" by a New Yorker for a 2 to 4-hr free tour but they request a New York address + number where they can call, confirm and then come and meet us...but we're staying with a friend in Weehawken. I need to give a NYC phone number with someone that can take a message for me...not a cellphone. Don't know if it's worth the hassel. Thanks again.
