on nicest weather day walk through lobby at 30 Rockefeller, great murals on ceiling, tree, rink, up 5th Ave through holiday yadda yadda, optional Bloody Mary at King Cole Bar in St Regis Hotel (they supposedly invented it), work way past Lloyd Wright Mercedes showroom on 56 & Park, Lever Bldg 53rd & Park, to Seagram's Bldg across Ave for a drink at bar in Four Seasons grille room (stupid expensive but landmarked interior and you have Euros) head over to UN, walk west 42nd past Ford Foundation, continue to Grand Central for lunch/snack at Oyster Bar (Pan Oyster Roast at counter), walk west on 42nd, wander inside NY Public Library, head to Times Square for the new and glitzy(absolutely NOT on New Years Eve), and if you still have legs these people run good tours all over the city Municipal Arts Society
Thanks for the walking suggestion, MB. Wish you were going to be there to do the walk with us, or at least hear our comments afterwards. In any case, I'm sure will make it to Alias. Hope you'll make it to Bordeaux sometime soon or we'll meet you somewhere halfway next time!?!
