Lance RIP
hey, i wanted to thank you again for the paint job. if you send me a receipt i can at least try to get you some of the insurance money. that seems fair to me.
i’ll go back to new orleans probably end of september. the whole notion fills me with dread, but i won’t be eligible for grant money unless i’m living on the premises.
bad news: lance got himself shot and killed last weekend in houston. i thought you’d want to know.

That's a damn shame. Searching the archives, I found this story that mentions Lance.
I have been alerted that there may be a Lance confusion and that in fact a Lance was killed but perhaps not our Lance, which is good news for me if not perhaps for some of the people our Lance is dealing with because I believe he has developed into a man not overly innocent. In any case, I am going to imagine him alive and still capable of future Gargoyle backup, and I am far less depressed than I was a minute ago.
Could it have been the Lance Price of Jester Hall? Just kidding. I can't image him getting himself shot.
Although I don't remember Lance Price of Treme very distinctly, I really feel for those kids. One can only hope they survive the dangerous years and have a chance to get some wisdom along the way.
